You can apply to be a youth councillor

We call for applications at the end of the year. Most youth councillors serve a one-year term.

  • You need to be between 13 and 20 years old.
  • You need to have a good range of youth connections in the district.
  • You need skills and qualities which would benefit the Youth Council, like the ability to work in a team, enthusiasm for reading and analysing documents and the confidence to discuss issues.
