Council's Logo
Council adopted the current logo as its corporate brand in 2004.
The 1963 coat of arms now appears in just a few formal places - for example, on the Mayor's letterhead.
Council’s logo was created to meet the need for an easy-to-identify brand promoting Rotorua as a desirable place to live, work, invest in and visit.
The logo reflects our communities’ co-operative journey towards a positive future. It represents progress towards DESTINATION ROTORUA.
The idea of 'Destination Rotorua' grew out of the established tourism marketing brand 'ROTORUA - feel the spirit - Manaakitanga', which continues to be used.
The council logo is to be used only for approved Rotorua District Council purposes. Requests for permission to use the logo for any other purpose require council approval in advance via the Communications Department.
