Fresh Ideas (District Plan Review Project)
Fresh Ideas is the name of the Rotorua District Plan Review Project. Every Council has a District Plan, which must be reviewed every ten years.
The policies and rules in a District Plan are designed to maintain a high standard of environmental responsibility.
The existing District Plan was one of the first to be prepared under the Resource Management Act. It is now time to replace it with a new one. Central to the project is consultation with the community. We aim for a district plan that is accessible, basic, and concise and most importantly, Rotorua-responsive.
