Rotorua District Council intends to amend the Rotorua District Speed Limit Bylaw 2005 as follows:

The school zone speed limit on Sunset Road only applies outside schools for a period 35 minutes before the start of school and from a maximum of 5 minutes before end of school to 20 minutes after end of school. It may also apply at other times for a maximum of 10 minutes if at least 50 children cross the road or enter or leave a vehicle on the road.
