    Regular bus service with the main bus stop in Pukuatua Street approximately 400 meters from the Rotorua Convention

  • Mobility parking
    There are 11 mobility parks within close proximity to the Rotorua Convention Centre. They are:
    • Haupapa St. - 4 mobility car parks approximately 50 metres from the Fenton Street entrance.
    • Arawa St.  - 4 mobility car parks approximately 120 metres from the Fenton St entrance
    • Hinemaru St - 3 mobility car parks approximately 200 metres from the Fenton St entrance
  • Drop off / Pick up
    Vehicles may stop (not park) approximately 5 metres from the Fenton St entrance
  • Ramp access
    The main entrance to the Rotorua Convention Centre has level access to the ground.
  • Toilets
    Accessible toilets are located on the ground floor in on the left-hand side as you enter the Fenton Street entrance.
  • Moving around the venue
    All corridors and doorways to the meeting rooms are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The staircase has hand rails and there is a lift that allows access to the first floor of the venue.
  • Wheelchair Seating in the Civic Theatre
    The Civic Theatre has available an area in the stalls for up to five wheelchairs and their companions. When booking for an event please specify if you need tickets to this area so that you can be assured of a space.
  • Emergency plan
    There is an approved evacuation plan in place. Wardens will assist people from the building in the unlikely event of an emergency.
  • Hearing loops
    Rotorua Convention Centre uses a personal hearing system rather than a hearing loop. If you will be requiring this facility please let us know ahead of your arrival so that this can be set up for you. 
  • Guide dogs
    A grass area behind the Banquet Room (off Arawa Street) entrance is available for Guide Dogs.
