Your Council
Tena koutou
As mayor, it is with a great deal of pride that I introduce my council to you through our website.
The Rotorua District Council is a caring and progressive organisation that prides itself on high standards of service delivery and open and transparent governance.
Local government business is becoming increasingly complex and varied as councils throughout New Zealand strive to provide and maintain a wide range of community assets as well as caring for many social needs, within budgets that are responsible and affordable.
On this website, you will find updated information on your council, staff and the many functions, activities and services carried out. If you have any problems or questions relating to these, please do not hesitate to contact staff or councillors to discuss what can be done. They are available and willing, as I am, to deal with your concerns and listen to your suggestions.
I know this website will be helpful in stepping you through the business of the Rotorua District Council as well as providing you with a host of useful facts and figures and general information on Rotorua, the best place in New Zealand to live and work and play.
Noho ora mai koutou i roto i nga manaakitanga katoa.
