Rates
Rates are set annually in order to fund the net cost of running the district.
The rate requirement is determined by the Ten Year Plan (also called the Long Term Council Community plan - LTCCP), or the Annual Plan as part of the budgeting process and is then assessed on each property.
Rates must be paid by the due date, however we offer a range of payment options and are always willing to discuss the needs of our customers.
Do you qualify for a rates rebate? |
You could get a significant rates reduction as part of the Government's rate rebate scheme to provide assistance towards rates for low income earners. The amount of rebate depends on a combination of your income, the amount of rates you are charged, and the number of dependants you have. Find out if you qualify for a rates rebate » |
