Council’s parking officers enforce

• the Rotorua District Traffic Bylaw 2008
• the Transport Act 1962
• the Land Transport Act 1998
• the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004

The parking enforcement team helps to make Rotorua a great place for locals and visitors to enjoy by maximising available parking in and close to the central business district

• maximising available parking in and close to the central business district
• ensuring equal access to parking for all motorists in the central business district
• monitoring the requirement for every vehicle to have a current certificate of vehicle inspection (warrant of fitness).
