Housing for the Elderly
Rotorua District Council provides 152 housing units for the elderly. These units are located in Rotorua and Ngongotaha.
To be eligible for consideration for a unit you must
- be capable of living independently
- be 60 or older and on a permanent benefit, or 55 years or older and on an invalid benefit
- have assets valued at less than $35 000 to qualify for a single unit, or $50 000 for a couple.
We fill vacancies from a waiting list, based on date of application.
