OSET Test Facility
The Rotorua District Council, in conjunction with Environment Bay of Plenty, NZWWA and SWANS-SIG are currently operating the OSET National Testing Facility at the Rotorua Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The current trial commenced in November 2009, and is scheduled to conclude at the end of July 2010.
The aim of the OSET Test Facility is to provide a peer-reviewed assessment of the performance of advanced On-Site Effluent Treatment systems under standard operating conditions.
The RDC Laboratory provides lab services to the National Testing Facility.
There are 7 sites provided with 1000L of screened raw sewage daily. Currently we have spaces available for companies who wish to connect their systems into the raw sewage supply for the purposes of Research and Development, with a view to participating in subsequent OSET trials.
