Council offers several picturesque venues for wedding ceremonies. These can be ‘booked’ for a small fee. Some of the venues are public reserves and you cannot use them exclusively, but your booking will give you preferential use.

Government Gardens Band Rotunda
- Adjacent to Te Runanga Tea House

Klamath Falls Rose Gardens
- Government Gardens
- Named after Rotorua’s sister city in Oregon, United States of America
- Roses bloom mid-November until June; at their best during summer
Kuirau Park
- Junction of Ranolf Street and Lake Road
- Several picturesque areas, including a wisteria-covered bridge, scented gardens, a gazebo and manicured lawns
- Full-time gardeners ensure that Kuirau Park looks its best all year round
Murray Linton Rose Gardens
- Fenton Park, Trigg Avenue
- Manicured rose gardens and an expansive open area, perfect for photographs
- Power available and toilets nearby
- Named after a former mayor of Rotorua
Te Runanga Tea House
- Government Gardens
- Built in 1903, this building was originally the social centre of spa facilities
- Renovated by the Rotorua Heritage and Civic Trust and one of the city’s most romantic venues for ceremonies and receptions.
