Council's Environmental Health Division ensures the general health of the community by inspecting all premises that prepare and sell food.

A regular inspection regime ensures that adequate standards are maintained to minimise the risk of the development and spread of food borne bacteria. Premises that meet the required standards are issued with a License under the Health Act and Regulations.

Council also responds to complaints about matters effecting public health including complaints about excessive noise.
