The following information is for those persons considering land subdivision in the Rotorua District.  A subdivision consent is required from Council for any subdivision.

The District Plan sets out the controls relating to subdivision.  Please check the Plan before proceeding further as there are detailed matters which may affect your proposal.  The District Plan sets out the guidelines for a subdivision application.

It is strongly recommended that you use the services of a registered surveyor for the subdivision. A surveyor will best be able to advise you on all matters relating to land subdivision. You may also need advice from your Lawyer or Planner. Where Maori land is involved, it is important that specialist advice be obtained from your legal advisor or the Maori Land Court.

NEED TO KNOW MORE?
