The Rotorua District Council is responsible for the Rotorua Cemetery and Crematorium, as well as the Mamaku, Reporoa, Ngakuru and Kauae Cemeteries. Although Council runs the Kauae Cemetery at Ngongotaha on a daily basis, it is administered by a Board of Trustees.
