Community Outcomes - Bright Future
Under the Local Government Act 2002, Councils encourage community thinking about the kind of long-term priorities which local people want to work towards.
These priority goals are called ‘community outcomes’. They could be anything from clean water to more parks to increased safety.
Council and other organisations use community outcomes as a guide for planning and action. Council monitors progress towards the outcomes and reports back to you, the community.
In Rotorua we have a solid foundation for our community outcomes. We have quality information about our district's social, environmental, cultural and economic well-being.
Council has partnerships with iwi organisations, Government agencies, businesses, funding organisations, not-for-profit organisations and many other parts of the community. These relationships help us to develop community outcomes in which we all have a stake
